Seattle Science Festival Volunteers
Seattle Science Festival 2013 Call For Volunteers
Join our Volunteer Team!
In 2012, more than 150 volunteers donated 1,600+ hours to help launch the inaugural Seattle Science Festival. Volunteers filled essential roles that supported the smooth operations of the festival, and we couldn't have inspired the 45,000+ attendees who came to Festival events without their help. We again need hundreds of volunteers to ensure the 2013 Seattle Science Festival is successful and hope you will join our 2013 Seattle Science Festival volunteer team.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. All Seattle Science Festival volunteers are required to attend one of two volunteer trainings that will be held in May (exact date and time TBD). The training will cover details on the Science Festival's many activities, as well as what you can expect while volunteering. All volunteers must complete a Washington State Patrol Background Check, Code of Conduct in Dealing with Children and an Appearance Release at the training.
From behind-the-scenes roles to facilitating evaluations to greeting diverse visitors, the Seattle Science Festival has volunteer positions for a variety of skills and comfort levels. Read more about each position on the online volunteer application.
How to Apply
Complete this short online volunteer application and plan on attending the required volunteer training. A shift(s) confirmation will be sent to you shortly after you complete the online application.
Volunteers will receive a Seattle Science Festival Volunteer t-shirt, as well as 2 general Pacific Science Center passes (passes cannot be used for IMAX movies).
